Kayak polo is a fun activity that the whole company can participate in.
The ball has to go into the net and you have to do it from a kayak while your opponents are chasing you. It's wet, fun and a bit tough, but at the same time it's completely impossible not to be gripped by the mood when the ball is in play.
We play 6 on the field (3 against 3) so everyone can be in the game and be active. The director can put together a tournament so that everyone gets the game with everyone.
Kayak Polo is played in sit-on-top kayaks, so it's easy to get out and in of them if one were to tip over in the water.
Kayak Polo is a fun and active way to get started with a company event or similar.
Anyone can participate. No prerequisites are required. However, one must be over 12 years of age.
We are very focused on safety when we are on the water and therefore all persons must wear a swimming vest throughout the event and therefore no visibly affected persons are allowed to participate.
Kayak polo is played at your own risk.
We have 2 lanes on Amager Strand. **We recommend the following: **
- 1 lane for 1 hour for 6-10 people
- 1 lane for 1 ½ hours for 11-15 people
- 1 lane for 2 hours for 16-20 people

Included in the price are polo kayaks, paddles, swimming vest, instructor and possibly wetsuit and anorak as well as effective time with us. Bathrooms and changing facilities are also available.

It is NOT allowed to bring your own drinks or food when using the Kajakotel's terrace, roof terrace, café or bath & changing room. This can be purchased in our cafe.

The Danish Maritime Authority has made it mandatory by law that a list of names must be completed before the start of the activity. This is done on the day together with the instructor.

It is not allowed to be influenced by alcohol, drugs, diseases, etc. to an extent that affects one's physical abilities or mental alertness. As a participant, you are obliged to follow the instructions of the instructor.

Children under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian or a signature (power of attorney) from them in order to participate.

The Kayak Hotel staff are authorized to refuse intoxicated persons from participating in the game. This does not result in a refund of the event's full price.
**Registration for kayak polo is binding. **
If you purchased a cancellation guarantee at the same time as your booking, you have the option to cancel your booking up to 10 days before the booked date. This means that you get the payment back, however, minus the 10% that the cancellation guarantee costs. If there are 10 days or less left, you have the option to rebook once within 12 months. Simply notify us no later than 24 hours before the booked date. This is also a condition of the Kayak hotel's approval.
If 24 hours or less are left, it is no longer possible to rebook.

**What should I bring? **
- Bring your own swim shorts, bikini or swimsuit. We have a number of wetsuits for loan, but if you have your own, you are of course welcome to bring this one too. On cooler days, you can bring running or sportswear instead of swimwear.
- Remember to change clothes and warm clothes for after and possibly during the match, if there is a replacement.
- If you wear glasses/bring expensive sunglasses, it's a good idea to have an eyeglass cord!
- Sunscreen is also a good idea.

Kajakhotellet blev grundlagt i 2005 af de passionerede kajakentusiaster Anders Nielsen og Peter Bondesen. Det hele begyndte med en fælles kærlighed til kajakroning og ønsket om at skabe et unikt sted, hvor både nybegyndere og erfarne roere kunne skabe et fællesskab med havkajakken som omdrejningspunkt. Fra en cirkusvogn, fællesomklædning og toiletter der frøs til henover vinteren, dyrkede vi sammen kærligheden for kajak og vandsport. I 2006 blev Lucia i kajak i de københavnske kanaler en fast tradition som nu er blevet et tilløbsstykke med 4-500 deltagere, og 40-50.000 tilskuere på land! Jørgen Schubert kom senere til som butikschef, og med hans erfaring for detail og detalje, samt baggrund med kitesurfing, events og vandsport var det et perfekt match. Når man træder ind i vores butik og café i Amager Strandpark, så mærk den stemning og den "surfer vibe" som Jørgen har skabt! Siden vi begyndte rejsen, er der løbet meget vand gennem åen, og vores “lille” kajaksted har kunnet udvikle sig sammen med kunder og ikke mindst vores medlemmer, og er vokset til så meget mere! I dag er Kajakhotellet danmarks vel nok største vandsportscenter med havkajak, surfski, stand up paddleboard (SUP), kitesurfing, wing og foil. Komplet med kurser, klub, opbevaring, butik, café, yoga, sauna, stort udvalg, god service, god kaffe, events og opbevaring af kajakker og SUP på vores 2 lokationer i Amager Strandpark og Kalvebod Bølge.
Uden vores fantastiske medarbejdere kunne alt dette dog slet ikke lade sig gøre! Stor tak til alle de mange mennesker der gennem årene har været med til at skabe MAGIC MOMENTS, været med til at dele et fælleskab og været garant for gode oplevelse på og ved vandet.
